All About Beth Brooks

Six years ago, Beth left the finance world as a personal banker in St. Louis, MO to move to Chicago, IL to start her real passion, dogs! She started her new passion in Chicago, IL working with comfort dogs. She went on daily trips with the comfort dogs to schools, nursing homes, and hospitals to share the love, comfort, and happiness that only dogs can give. She also did crisis and disaster response with the dogs all over the country. She was also instrumental in starting a military dog handler team that worked with military families. After three years, Beth left her job with the comfort dogs to help Alex grow his business in a new direction with service and therapy dogs.

Beth has a deep connection and passion for training service and therapy dogs. She knows from personal experience how a service dog can give someone confidence, independence, and support. In 2017 Beth was diagnosed with Epilepsy after having two grand mal seizures several months apart. Buck, her golden retriever, gave the only warning to both seizures. Without Beth displaying any outward symptoms of an impending seizure, Buck alerted her about a minute before the seizure. He is the only warning she has before a seizure and will also lay under her head to protect her. Buck is her seizure alert dog and they go everywhere together! She is truly grateful for what he does for her every day. Buck also alerts Beth before a panic attack and intervenes to help alleviate more severe effects. This is why she calls Buck her guardian angel. This also sparked her passion for service and therapy dogs. Beth is very lucky to be able to help give others what Buck has given her!

Beth also works with owners and their dogs with everyday obedience and behavior. Beth and Alex moved to Nashville to work with Comfort Connections training therapy dogs as well as helping Nashville pets to be well behaved, well-balanced members of the family!
